Anne and i would like to extend our condolences to your family during this very difficult time. I did not work for Red but i can see how that would have certainly been a pleasure. Whenever i met him, he always knew me by my first name and he was always friendly. We met them at dances at friedensfeld, every New Years for the past many. Again greeted us both with a smile and always a short visit. Wishing you God’s blessing and strength. He will be missed by many.

Shick had respect and loved working for Red and did so so over 30 years before his passing I’ll never forget Red visiting Shick during his illness and offered his heartfelt compassion and support. He was a man of integrity, honesty and filled with compassion and humility. Thoughts and prayers goes out to the family during this very difficult time.

Condolences to the Coleman family. I have different memories of Mr Coleman going back to when I used do parts pickups for Penner Dodge at the inside loading dock at South East Transfer on Saturday mornings. It was either Mr Coleman or Jake Adrian who did the Saturday morning stint. A few months before my Dad passed away I was pushing him in his wheelchair along the walking path in town and we met Mr and Mrs Coleman. It was special to stop and chat and see how it pleased my Dad to visit with old neighbors from Southwood Dr. I always enjoyed mtg Mr Coleman and getting in on some of his practical ideas. All the best.

Fond memories of Mr. Red Coleman. My mentor. Going to Winkler in the coldest of days to watch Earl play Jr. hockey. Words of encouragement in my involvement with minor hockey and junior fastball. Discussing Manitoba authors who would write about our history. Chats about hauling milk from dairy farms in the local area. Much appreciated. Ron Kornelson

Dear. Norma and Family,
As the daughter of a small business owner in Steinbach, Mr. Jake Kroeker Vogt’s IGA, I grew up knowing that Red Coleman was a decent man because my Dad articulated this often.
I was sorry to read of his passing.
Condolences to his beautiful family.

We were neighbours to Red and Norma for years - so I got to see Red’s work ethic in action as he meticulously maintained his yard and house well into his Seventies.
We enjoyed the neighbourly chats, the pies Norma would bring over unexpectedly and the easy friendship that developed.
Red and I were able to exchange Birthday greetings each year as we shared the same birthday - only 30 years apart.
Our condolences to Norma and the family.

It's with great sadness that I just learned of the passing of Red Coleman. He was not only the owner of Big Freight, but a wonderful friend, who made every employee feel like an equal. Red had an amazing memory, and would greet me by name, recognizing me even after many years of not seeing each other. Truly sorry to hear of the passing of this great man, wonderful, humble, and special individual. May he rest in peace, and may God comfort the family as you greave the loss.

Norma, Gary, Earl and Family. My heartfelt condolences over the passing of a wonderful man. I got to know both Seaton (Red) and Norma from my time at the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce. Your obituary described the man I remembered to a tee. I always enjoyed our interactions and he will be missed.

Our condolences to the Coleman family. Didn't see mr. coleman much in the yard but when i did he always had a friendly word. And a warning. He had followed me all the way through town to the yard to tell me , i had a tail light out on the trailer. Thanks for bringing us over to canada many years ago. Will and Lia Langelaan.
