Growing up not far away from Jack and Irene, I have so many fond memories of Jack. My deepest condolences to the whole family, my heart goes out to you during this very trying time. No one could tell a story like Jack. Many evenings were spent around the table listening intently with sore cheeks from smiling, tears rolling down, sides and belly aching from laughter and Jack delivering story after story with such candor and perfect comic delivery it would put most actors and comedians to shame. Jack was a big imposing man with amazing red hair that never seemed to turn grey:) with sparkling eyes and a gift of making you feel like you were the only person in the room but his best feature was his heart...he was always up for a giant hug and would do anything for you. Jack is often in my thoughts and in my stories, although I cannot ever dream to deliver the same lines like he could, his stories live on and are told with great enthusiasm.
I wish I could be there to grieve and celebrate Jack with everyone. Just know that he is missed and loved by so many, again my deepest condolences to Irene and the whole family. Hugs and Love to all, Audra Funk

I was so surprised and saddened to hear of Jacks passing. Our friendship dates back over fifty years. All the memories; the laughs and all the crazy things we did. I consider myself fortunate to have been friends with Jack and so glad we got to go out for coffee on last time. Our sincere sympathies go out to Irene and family.

To: Irene, John and the family of this very lovable man whose visits I used to look forward to whenever his truck would pull
up outside of Steinbach Dodge and he always found the time to come and talk and laugh with his office girls. Our deepest condolences on the passing of a great friend and a very special man in all of your lives. RIP Jack.

So very sorry for your loss to the whole family. I recently had to make a few trips to Marchand- and each time I drove past your old homestead - I thought about memories of your family. The last time I saw ur dad was when my parents (Henry and Cathy martens) where having a garage sale at their old farmstead. Jack stopped in - it was really neat to see him after many many years! I had a good little chat with him! He was always very friendly and easy to visit with. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Jack always had stories to share when he came to fill up gas. He was excited to share when visiting the kids and about his job that he loved for so many years & his truck. He made a little house for me with so much detail(kind of like a bird house). I always got a hug when he came in! Sorry for the your loss Irene and family!

Jack, I’m gonna miss your stories! I believe you took the craft of oneupmanship to art form level. I have gotten to know you as a great big teddy bear whose growl made me laugh!
Today when I looked at your lifeless face, an indescribably deep sorrow welled up in me and I realized you have left a hole in my heart.
I will miss you very much.
Love,
Al

Sincere heartfelt sympathies to the family of Jack Letkeman. You always have time for a quick chat no matter how busy you were whenever we would run into each other and always a quick joke and a wink and a smile and then you would be off again. You will be missed by many and we will see you again on the flip side.
