My sincerest condolences to all of Mrs.Phillips family. She was a dear friend of my grandmas (Cora Bell) and we kept in touch for many years after my grandmas passing. She had the best hugs (would squeeze ya to bits) and her smile was infectious.

Sincere condolences to all of you. Although it's been many years since I have seen Betty or any of you children, it was so good to hear Wilson's tribute on behalf of your family. Much of it brought back wonderful memories of times in your farm home years ago. Your family so graciously welcomed a large group of hungry Christmas carolers into your home every Christmas eve. Everyone was welcomed to come in to enjoy the warmth of the wood stove (there was always room for one more!), and to enjoy endless amounts of Christmas baking and hot chocolate. For many years this was a highlight of my Christmas! I saw your mom as a very hardworking, giving person who lived for others. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Thank you Emily. Mom loved you and Don and very much loved all the carollers every Christmas. The more the merrier. You have always been lovely to our family. Thank you.

Thank you Dad (Wilson) for paying tribute to her, our Grandma. It was a great summary of her life as a nurse, mother, sister, friend, grandma. Although it must have been very difficult to plan, to speak - I know everyone will be forever grateful and appreciative that you were able to share her life experiences, her heart, her happiness on the podium today, in person and to all those who were required to witness the ceremony by virtual means. Bringing all of the many welcoming childhood memories back into light I'm sure brought in sentimental smiles to everyone's faces and a few chuckles to escape. I know with her unwavering love and positivity she would wish nothing more than to be remembered this fondly and ensure the remembrance that family will forever be in our minds and in our hearts no matter the distance both through Heaven and Earth.
It was nice to listen to the unheard stories of my Dad/Uncles/Aunts time on the farm alongside her as well.
Keri and Ryan did such a wonderful job with their performances! They should be so proud, I am very much so and I thank them for it - it was nice to see them.
Hugs and Kisses to all.
Thank you Birchwood Funeral Chapel for the seamless livestream.
Love,
Emma Phillips

Condolences to Betty's family. Betty was one of my co-workers at Ste Anne Hospital for several years. The photo of Betty that you as a family have chosen for this site is a perfect view of her cheerful disposition as how I would have remembered her. May you take comfort in the many good memories that you have. Elaine Dueck

My sincere condolences to the entire Phillips family. I was really fortunate to have met Betty in July 2013 when Le Chalet in La Broquerie became her new "home". She was such a ray of sunshine in the residence - her laughter bringing smiles to everyone who heard her. She will certainly be remembered fondly and with lots of love. May she rest in peace.

Our condolences to the entire Phillips family.
I have wonderful memories of my school years with many sleepovers at the Phillips’ home.
Waking up “early” to the smell of the woodstove burning and bacon on the grill.
Farm life while working outside the home as a nurse was no easy task but Betty always made time to sit down for a cup of tea and a chat. May her beautiful memories last forever, rest in peace Betty.

We were so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. As Ian said "She was always the happy one". We didn't see her often but she always had a smile and you were happy to be around her. It is sad as she is the last of the Grant family and I know she will be missed.
Love Ian, Cheryl and family xoxo

Thank you Cheryl. Mom was a happy person, but she chose such a way of living. She loved having family and the extended family. The Grant family lives on in us all. May we all be so lucky to find our own gratitude and happiness.
