Obituary of Doris Lamontagne

Doris, age 80 of Marchand MB. passed away peacefully on May 7, 2021 at the Menno Home in Grunthal.  She had been residing there for the last four months. 

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Armand, and their son Randy and daughter in law Doreen.  Grandchildren Krystal (Kevin) and Brittany.  Her great grandson Mason.  Her sister Arlene and brothers Clifford (Rita) and Gerry.

She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Anna Normand.  Son Richard, Grandson Richard.  Brothers: Napoleon, Johnny, William, Raymond, Emile, and David.  Sisters: Lorraine, Lucy, and Ernestine.

Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  She married my father in 1959.  Together the raised twin boys Randy and Ricky.  In 1970 they moved to Marchand, where they would live.  Mother worked at Friendly Family Farms for 30 plus years and later at the Ste. Anne Hospital in housekeeping until her retirement.

Moms most precious gifts were her children and grandchildren, and great grandchild.

Her love for her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews was endless.  They were always greeted with a smile or laugh.  Mom was always ready to help. 

Mom enjoyed bingo and going to the casino.  She was also an avid reader and loved to sing.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and the first floor of the Bethesda Hospital, and all the staff at the Menno Home for all the care given to our mother.

Rest now Mom.  Your work on earth is done.  We love you and we will carry you with us until we meet again.
