Our heartfelt condolences to Rita and family. I had the immense pleasure of working with Albin in Hadashville during my time stationed there in the mid 80’s. Albin was a dedicated employee and loved his job, he loved to tell tales of his days on the survey crew and of his experiences in the bush and we heard these stories many a time during after hour refreshments. His bush experience was a real benefit to the crew and he was a whiz at sharpening chainsaws, fixing pumps and keeping equipment clean and organized. As a young officer I very much appreciated his assistance, expertise and knowledge of “stuff” and the quiet, humble way he treated staff and went about his work. One of a kind!
