As the chair of Seine Rat Roseau Watershed and along with all of the people here, we extend our deepest sympathies to Anita, Trish, Carrie and the family. Ray was one of those guys who silently moved into meetings, and when he spoke, we all listened. He was more than a colleague, he was a dear friend and a gentle giant. We too will miss him as he leaves a big hole in all of our hearts.
To the family, I know that God is watching over you as you seek answers to the void and pain he has left behind. Along with you, we have a hope and confidence that we can again see Ray in that heavenly home.

I got to know Ray these last three years and am so grateful for his patience with me in explaining sewers, his humour when driving me around town to show me who used to live where, and his kindness when showing up for all kinds of volunteer tasks. Losing Ray is like losing a hundred volunteers in one fell swoop. He was a tireless community champion. Tu me manque mon ami.

My favourite Uncle growing up, never missed an opportunity to pester me just as he did his grand kids. He would always make me laugh until I was on the verge of peeing my pants. He always put a smile on my face. Unfortunately as I grew older our relationship faded and I unfortunately never rekindled that. He will be missed very much. RIP Uncle Ray
