My condolences to Rogers family. Some of my fondest memories as a child have been of our times with Roger, Dennis, Donald and I playing cowboy games. Those were such good times. I have lost touch with your family but I still treasure those good times.

My deepest sympathy to Irene, Dennis and Steffie. Roger was one of my best friends, i knew Roger pretty well all my life.
At willow plain school he had the fanciest bike, with streamers, chrome fenders, all kinds of gadgets on his handle bars and a whip aerial. Later in life he upraded to a Harley which was his pride and joy. Roger was a musician and loved yo listen to music. When i would come over he had a radio playing in every building on the yard, either country, rock, and mostly good old ukrainian music.
I'm so glad i had many of visits over the years especially at the farm. I am sure going to miss him.
Rest in peace my friend. Vichnaya Pamyat Memory Eternal

Deepest condolences to you Norman, Irene, Dennis, and Families on the untimely passing of your beloved brother and uncle, Roger. Our memories of Roger go back to the beginning in the 1950s as your parents Helen and Jake Novak and our parents Winnie and Steve Feniuk were part of a circle of very close friends who visited back and forth regularly. Our brother Norman and I (Helen) would fight for first dibs at playing with little Roger when the families would visit! He was the cutest baby! Later he would give me (Gloria) rides on his bike handlebars as kids playing and I got to have quite a crush on him as we grew older! We have attached a couple of family photos taken in 1955 and Roger's talent for making music is already apparent at the age of 3 as we see him "playing" a violin/knows precisely how the violin and bow go together! The picture is taken at Novak's in Sarto when Annette (Feniuk) Morrison and family were visiting relatives/friends at Sarto and show all the good friends - our parents, Pete and Olga Boyechko, all of their children, and Andrew and Mary Toffan. May good memories of happy times sustain you at this sad time. Vichnaya pamyat!
Helen and Gloria Feniuk (Jaques)

My condolences to Irene, Dennis, Norman, Adine and Stephanie. Roger was one of the five cousins (including myself) born in 1952. I loved Roger's care free and humorous nature, often teasing me about something. Aunty Helen and Uncle Jake would have their Sunday gatherings and Roger played his guitar along with other cousins and family. I loved going out to the Novak Sunday gatherings and seeing Roger and the rest of the cousins. This picture is Roger and his Dad playing at his cousin's wedding. We will miss your care free spirt, Roger.

Roger and I were friends forever right to the end. Roger was an awesome friend. We did many things together but the big thing was playing music in a band together. It all started with four guys (Larry, Andy, Roger and myself) practicing every every Sunday practicing in the band. Not long after that Roger and myself with a few other guys started a band called THE CRACKED EGGSHELL. We rocked southern Manitoba for years. We thought we were the BEATLES. Roger played lead and bass guitar and played it very well. He was very proud to be in the band. A number of years later Roger and I joined a band called THE ROYAL POLKA KINGS. Here we had a chance to do some studio work and made two LPs with this band and also tour with the band outside of Manitoba. Roger was such an easy going guy and very easy to get along with. Roger was a true friend Roger was the most kind and gentle person you would ever meet I personally never ever saw Roger angry at anyone or say any ill words against anyone. Roger was a true gentleman. I will miss Roger He was a true friend to me. Rest In Peace my friend and let God guide you and welcome you to your final everlasting amazing journey. Dennis Pidsadny

Anne and i would like to extend our deepest condolences to Dennis and Sheffie and Irene. I remember all of you well. Roger and i chummed in high school and i considered him my best friend. We played in the band together, practiced many a Sunday at the Novak’s and at our place as well as Larry blocks place. We had a lot of fun. I was always envois of roger ability to play the guitar. I played but not like him. I was always welcome at the Novak’s house and we spent many hours in the summer kitchen playing guitar and enjoying our time together. Mr. Novak often played with us on the symballa and the steel guitar. I have great memories. I visited roger at the house several times. I stopped in one Sunday when your whole family was together, and again i was always welcome. I also stopped in with my harley, i knew he would enjoy that. Anne and i stopped in a few times to say hi. I visited him just before he gave up the house and moved to greendale. I went to see him several times at greendale and one day we went outside, he had a smoke and we even took a picture together. A few weeks ago i met Dennis pitsadney on the path and we committed to calling roger. I called and left a message, but i think he may have already been in the hospital. I will miss my friend. May God give you peace during this very difficult time.

Rest In Peace Roger! My deepest sympathy to Irene, Dennis and Steffie. I always enjoyed Roger’s pleasant disposition! We always had a wonderful time attending a lot of the dances in Southern Manitoba as teenagers! Whenever I ran into Roger over the years we would reminisce of our teenage life with a lot of pleasant memories!!
