Obituary of Norman Walter Bachinski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and soon to be Great-Grandfather Norman Bachinski, who passed with his family by his side at the age of 78.

Norman is survived by his wife of 50 years Ruth (nee Burnell), son Frank (Krista), grandchildren: Demetrius, Jessica (Jared), and Jade; along with his sisters Rose Freund and Frances Moroz, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Stella Bachinski, brothers-in-law Leonard Freund and Edward Moroz, and nephew Kenneth Moroz. On his wife's side, his father and mother-in-law Robert and Eleanora Burnell, along with multiple brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Norman spent his life operating the family dairy farm, He was known as a hard-working and inventive man who enjoyed the challenge of repairing machinery, along with exploring the outdoors on a variety of motorized equipment. He passionately played the violin amongst other musical instruments, often while in the company of family and friends. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Place PCH for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bethesda Place Personal Care Home located in Steinbach, Manitoba, or the Lupus Society of Manitoba Inc.
