Obituary of Brenda Kosowan

Brenda Matrena Kosowan (nee Jordan) wife of the late Fred Kosowan passed away at the age of 88. Brenda passed away peacefully on September 16, 2022 at Beacon Hill Lodge where she has resided for the past two and a half years.

Brenda was predeceased by her husband Fred, her parents Solomon and Camolete Jordan, as well as Siblings Greydon, Lynteen (Cyril), Nola (Grafton), and Charmaine. Brenda is survived by her sister Barbara (Kevin).

Also grieving her loss are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews across Canada, Barbados and the United States.

Brenda immigrated to Canada in 1960. She began working as a nanny so she could pay for her schooling to become a nurse. Brenda moved to Winnipeg where she spent her career as an Operating room technician at Misericordia Hospital where she worked until she retired.

Brenda had some family members in Canada, but fortunately made lasting friendships with people all over the world.

Brenda has been cremated. A gathering to inter her remains will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3K 1W3, on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
