Obituary of David Stahl

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Stahl, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Ste. Anne Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Christian and Katherina Stahl of Portage la Prairie and a brother and sister who passed in infancy. He is survived by his wife Sandra of six years, his three kids Vanessa (Steve) Doerksen, Chantelle Neufeld (friend Mark), and Justin (Heidi) Neufeld along with his five grandkids Hunter, Hudson, Houston, Hayley, and Dominique. He is also survived by five sisters and eight brothers as well as their families. David Stahl was born in Portage la Prairie on December 19, 1952. He was a long distance truck driver for many years and enjoyed being on the road and seeing different places. He was also really devoted to his family, especially spending time with his grandkids. David was a very happy person and was very strong in his Faith in the Lord. He met his wife Sandra (nee Hiebert) ten years ago and they were married for six years. Together they built a life in Steinbach surrounded by many friends and family members. The family would like to express their thanks for all the love and support from those around them. The memorial service will be Friday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Chortitzer Mennonite Church with interment prior at Heritage Cemetery. An evening service will take place Thursday, July 26 at the church at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
