Obituary of Abram Rempel

Abe Rempel, age 80, of Steinbach, MB, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

He is survived by his son Warren, two sisters, three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Elly, his brother Jake, niece Jacki, and his parents David and Agatha.

Early on, Abe worked at Granny's Poultry, and then later on as a bartender at local establishments, where he met his future wife, Elly. They started attending Full Gospel Chapel together and were baptized. They had one son together. Abe went on to work for the Department of Highways doing road maintenance until his retirement. 

Abe was known by his friends to be generous and willing to help out. He found joy in lending a hand, or bumming out a cigarette.  A sports fan his entire life, Abe always had a cable connection wherever he lived. He watched a lot of curling, hockey, baseball, and football. 

Per his request, there will be no funeral. Ash interment at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB, will be at a later date.
