Dear George and family.
"A beautiful gracious classy lady" is how I remember Esther.
Esther was so patient and kind with me as one of her piano students at CMBC from 1967 to 1969.
I learned so much about music composition in her classes.
I was so glad to reconnect with you, George and Esther, at the Class of "69 reunion in 2019.
I have just learned of your loss of this very special lady.
Please accept my most sincere condolences.
Doris Pinkoski (nee Janzen)

I shall always remember Esther as a kind, caring and encouraging Christian lady. Making music with George and Esther back in the CMBC days was truly a God-given gift that I will treasure. My deep condolences go out to George and the Wiebe family. The most perfect music is yet to come when we will all join in the chorus to the Lamb.

Esther is dearly remembered in Paraguay, where she left a significant mark for so many in the field of church music.
George and Esther: what a team! We are so grateful for your enthusiastic and devoted contribution towards choral and worship music in the Chaco colonies and beyond. Esther, in her quiet friendly way, had a great impact on many of us as a model teammate and spouse. A fruitful life.

My sincere condolences to you George & family. So good to see you just before Christmas at Lindenwood Manor. I enjoyed singing in your oratorio choirs at CMBC, Charleswood Mennonite Church & The Bridge & of course Esther's wonderful accompaniment. Cherish the memories! What a beautiful musical couple she will be missed.

Esther was my piano teacher for 2 years at CMBC. She was delightful and I learned so much from her. I loved when she accompanied the choir and added her little artistic touches. I'm sure she will be missed by the family, especially George.
My condolences and love to all of you.

Sending my deepest, heartfelt condolences to George & family, as Esther was an incredibly talented and kind person who was loved by so many! My fondest CMBC memories are singing in Ensemble & Singers under both Esther & George’s leadership - the highest caliber music instruction, all with an ever present smile on her face and a great sense of humour. I was also privileged to receive permission to perform Esther’s composition “Celebration” at my wedding. It was one of my favourite pieces of repertoire during our Singers’ 1984-85 tour to BC. What an amazing legacy of music & service you leave, rest in peace, dear Esther!

Esther was the best. Her contribution to music at CMBC/CMU was the best. To the Mennonite Church and beyond her contribution was the best. To those left behind, we send condolences.
One highlight of mine was watching how Esther and George worked together as we practiced and performed Mendelsohn, St Paul in 1962.

Esther was my music theory professor at CMBC in 1987/88, and the accompanist for several choirs I sang in, in the 1980s, with George conducting. The Saengerfests they hosted in Altona, MB were such wonderful events. What fond memories!
I wish George, and the rest of Esther's family, God's perfect peace in the days ahead. My sympathy on Esther's passing.
Thank you for the music!
