Obituary of Katharina Doerksen

It is with great sadness that the family of Katharina “Tina” Doerksen announces her passing on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the age of 92 years.

Tina will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nettie (Bill), Peter (Lorna), Anni (Vic), Lisa (Ken), Maria (Francis), Bernie (Cyndi), and son-in-law Dan (Karen). Tina will also be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, Eric, Evan, Adam, Brianne, Shawna, Landon, Aaron, Lev, Koen, Mira, Quinn, and seven great-grandchildren. 

Tina was predeceased by her husband Jacob, daughter Lena, two brothers and two sisters. 

A special thank you to all the staff at Bethesda Place for all the care they provided over the past four years.

The funeral service in memory of Tina will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with Ed Giesbrecht officiating. Interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
