Obituary of John Neufeld

John Neufeld was born on March 15, 1962, in Mexico. John passed away after a long battle with cancer on Monday, April 3, 2023.

He is survived by his beloved wife Anna, their son, two daughters, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and nine grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, his mother, his father-in-law, his mother-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.

John grew up in Mexico where he met his wife Anna. Not long after they met they were married on October 3, 1982. They had three children while still living in Mexico. They moved to Canada in February 2003.

John enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved and adored his grandchildren very much. He enjoyed the small things in life. Fishing, driving tractors, and farming. He had a strong love for the Lord. John and Anna attended the New Hope Church in Grunthal, Manitoba, with regularity.

He will be remembered as a strong, loving, kind yet stern, proud yet humble son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Viewing and prayers will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church, New Bothwell, MB, with viewing prior to the service and burial to follow at the church cemetery.
