George Neufeld was born on December 29th, 1934 to John and Helena Neufeld. He grew up in New Bothwell and was one of 16 children. He passed away peacefully on January 25th, 2011at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 76. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Ann, sons Steve (Helga) and Andrew (Louise), as well as his grandchildren Ashley (Ryan), Tyler (Ashlyn) and Moriah. George married the love of his life Mary Ann on June 16, 1956. Together they shared 54 years. Family was very important to him and he worked hard to provide for us and supported us in all of our endeavours. Dad had a love of the outdoors including camping, hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and had a passion for taking them on these outings. They have been left with many fond memories. He also loved to design and build various projects. Over the past year he enjoyed helping Andrew build his house and Steve with the renovations on his home and the addition of a deck. Dad was a follower of Christ, and his faith was very important to him. It guided him from day to day, through good times and bad. He was a great example to his family and others around him. Jesus called Dad home on January 25th around 4:30 in the afternoon. Dad was at peace and looking forward to entering paradise. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 30 at 3:45 p.m. at the Word of Life Mission Church, 233 Third St. S, Niverville with viewing at the church prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Interment at Hespeler Cemetery in Niverville.
