Summer holidays were the best when our family drove to Sprague. I remember Auntie Kay was a tremendous cook and strong matriarch. Although we usually only came once a year, the seamless transition from summer to summer was quite remarkable. I remember her delicious , dinners, raspberries and reading dozens of Archie comics. I cherish these youthful memories of Auntie Kay, Uncle Carl and my cousins. Love to the Machej clan.

Aunty Kay was very special person in my life. Mom and Uncle George were very close with Aunty Kay. I would spend summers in Sprague with my 2 surrogate families. My times with Aunty Kay's and Uncle Carl and my cousins was always enjoyable and caring. She was always interested in new enterprises. An important part of my life is now being parsed into my memories so she is always with me. To Uncle Carl my Love . To my cousins here is a big hug. I'll be wearing an Hawaiian shirt.

I will always remember Aunt Kay best a kid. As a young nephew we visited Kay and her family frequently during the summer holidays. In my mind she is in the kitchen, sons/daughters cousins/nieces/nephews coming and going from the house, it was a beehive of activity. We boys were either banging caps on the house steps with rocks or learning to play the piano in the family dinning room. The house was alive with activity and she the loving and proud conductor of all the household action. These memories live on in me and so shall she. RIP Aunt Kay.

Kay was an exceptionally strong person who loved her family above all else. Her cooking skills and large successful dinners are legendary. I thank her for her kindness and generosity to me on the many trips I made to the family home over the years since I moved away from Sprague. Rest In Peace Kay. You have earned your eternal rest after your suffering over the past years. My condolences to the family who provided incredible love and support to Kay. Sincerely Ed Machej

Kay was a very sweet lady who no matter how much pain she was in she always had a smile. A smile that was contagious and it immediately changed your mood cause she had that sweet personality that came with it. RIP Kay, gone but never forgotten.
