Obituary of Suzanne Maynard

Suzanne Pearl Maynard, age 72, of St-Pierre-Jolys, MB, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Suzanne leaves to cherish her memory one daughter and two sons: Michelle Maynard, Joel Maynard (Christine) and Martial Maynard; three grandchildren: Brynn and Evan (Joel) and Maurice (Martial); one sister: Annette Douglas (Bruce); and one niece: Danielle Oldenburger (Scott). She also leaves behind several well-beloved cousins, a niece (Tammy Adolf) and nephew (Denis Desaulniers) and many dear friends near and far.

She was predeceased by her father Denis Desaulniers, her mother Pearl Fortune-Desaulniers, brother Phillipe Desaulniers and grandparents Leonie and Romeo Desaulniers.

Suzanne was born in British Columbia on January 31, 1951, and raised in St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. Suzanne lost her father at a young age and was raised by her grandparents, Leonie and Romeo Desaulniers.  

Suzanne loved to cook and share her love of food with family and friends. Her work took her to many places where she met and befriended many people who will miss her dearly.

You were loved by all who knew you & you will always have a special place in our hearts. You will be missed. Love you Memère. On t’aime gros. xo

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
