Obituary of Rachelle Suzanne Laurin

Rachelle Suzanne Laurin, age 73, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Ste. Anne Hospital, Ste. Anne, MB.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years Georges, her son Marc and daughter Ginette (Nick). She was a loving Mémé to Angelique and Jameson. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and numerous friends.   

She was predeceased by her parents Rene and Annette Papineau, her brother Ron Papineau, her parents-in-law Emile and Angelina Laurin as well as her brother-in-law Maurice Laurin.

Rachelle loved to keep busy by journalling, reading, doing puzzles, going to Bingo, baking and canning the produce from their garden. She was also actively involved with the Musée Dawson Trail Museum. 

Rachelle was considered by many to be their “second mom”. She was generous with her time and love. She was always thinking of others and was quick to help out or lend an ear. 

It is so difficult to describe how amazing Rachelle was and how much of an impact she had on others. Her passing will leave such a huge void that will be felt by many. She was an angel on Earth and there is no doubt that she has gained her wings.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19^th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. 

Private interment will take place at a later date.
