Mitzi. I am so saddened to hear about the loss of our friend, Abe.
Nursing home transitions are hard on the residents and the family and I can say hands down, Abe and your family made our experience so much better. We (Abe and Sonny), shared a small room and everyone quickly became great pals. Quiet in their own ways while still looking out for each other. Abe was such a lovely man and I will miss seeing him. My dad called me when Abe went to the hospital and a few days later called me with the sad news. In this very short time together, we felt like part of your family. My dad looked forward to your visits just as much as Abe did. I/we are so grateful to have spent time with Abe, Mitz and family- enjoy the chats, meals, laughs, fist pumping and trying to get at least one TV working. My dad and I are so sorry for your loss and will miss all of you. We will always remember Abe and your family. Hugs to you Mitz, you are an amazing woman and took care of your husband in the most perfect ways.
Lonnie and Sonny, From Golden Door.

Mitzi, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the years of us being next door neighbours on Home street in Steinbach. You had all boys and we had all girls Angela, Tanya and Alicia. Mitzi, I hope you will feel God comfort and peace in the days and months to come. Betty (Richard Friesen ) Klippenstein.

My Uncle Abe has been a huge part of my life since I was born.....to this day, he loved to tell the story of putting jam on my high chair table and watching me make a mess! I heard him tell this again recently to his roommate....it always made both of us smile even though I have no memory of it. Family camping trips together, boating and ordinary visits will forever be etched in my mind. What I have always found exceptional is Uncle Abe's way of staying positive in spite of health challenges and his amazing ability to rally. He loved his sports, games and was genuinely interested in the people around him. His eyes would light up when he saw people and he would always engage in lively conversations. Have a peaceful rest Uncle Abe - you have certainly earned it.
Love Teresa
