I have many childhood memories and so many of them include your family. Attending the same church, our families often visited together. As teenagers Deanna and I would come over to hang out together with Amanda and Val and hence became lifelong friends. Your mom always expressed interest and kindness toward me and was very hospitable. She always had some delicious meals prepared which included homemade baking for faspa or coffee visits. I also remember those fun times at the Oasis where we spent hours swimming and enjoying a BBQ later. Dolores mentioned to me about the time when she was the only kid on the winter trip south with your parents and my parents. They enjoyed the trip so much and the words that Dolores had learned from them as a 7 year old were “Jeht sure shein”. They often repeated those words when meeting at church and had a good laugh. (That was possibly your Dad’s comment.) In later years your mom often showed such grace and love toward my mom after her stroke and personality changes. I am truly grateful for her understanding and unconditional love and support. May God bless your family and as you celebrate her life well lived. My sympathies and condolences to Val, Amanda & Mick, Gerry & Gundy, Michelle and extended family.
