Elsa Martens, age 93 years, passed away peacefully at the Menno Home for the Aged, Grunthal, MB, on Friday August 24, 2012. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Will (Alvie), Jim (Annette), Lin (Grant Milne), Marlene and daughter-in-law Mary, as well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her half-brother Peter Driedger and three step-sisters Helen Unger, Agatha Guenther, Annie Hildebrandt and sister-in-law Neta Krahn. She was predeceased by her husband Jac in 1992 and eldest son Ernie in 2008. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd. with viewing prior to the service. Interment will take place at Heritage Cemetery.
