Obituary of Olga Kupiak

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olga Kupiak on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 88 years.

Mom was predeceased by her parents William & Pearl Yakiwchuk, her husband Nick, brother Bill and sister Mary.

She is survived by her six children: Linda (Sean), Garry (Cindy), Ken, Carol (Bill), Larry (Treena) and Sandra (Terry). She has eight grandchildren and two great grandsons. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Andy, Met, Natalie, Stacey, and Rose as well as many friends.

Mom was a terrific homemaker. She loved to cook, always ready to try new recipes. She enjoyed baking and home canning. She treasured quilting, knitting, crocheting and berry picking. She was young at heart, always ready for an outing – be it a music concert, a shopping trip or eating out.

We look forward to seeing her again when she is resurrected in perfect health to a paradise earth, under God’s Kingdom government. (Psalm 37:10,11, Rev. 21:3,4)

The family wishes to thank Fred Douglas care home for their exceptional care during Mom’s final months.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba. Due to limited seating, in person attendance is limited to family and close friends. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
