Obituary of Margaret Jaman

After a lengthy illness, Margaret passed away peacefully at the age of 110 years. She was born in Miami, Manitoba, to Runa and Thordur Olson, the oldest of five children, and grew up in the Arbakka district.

After completing Normal School, she spent the next 14 years teaching in SE Manitoba. Following her marriage to George in 1938 they farmed in Arbakka until 1955 when they moved to Harwood, North Dakota. In 1956 they returned to Manitoba and bought into a grain farm in Dufrost, remaining there until retiring to Steinbach.

She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, and by her husband George in 1993.

In 2005 Margaret moved from Steinbach to Park Manor Lodge in Transcona, and then to Park Manor Nursing Home until her passing.

Margaret is survived by: Shirley (Nelson) Smith, granddaughter Keri and great-granddaughter Paeton, son Richard (Patricia), grandson Darryl (Jodi), great- grandson Cooper (Haley) Link and great-great-grandson Wesson,  great-grandson Mason Link and Cassia,  great-granddaughter Kennedy Osborne and Hunter.  Grandson Allan (Monique), great-great grandson Craig (Tessa) and great-great-great grandson Jack, great-great grandson Tanner & Danni Anseit, granddaughter Rhonda Jaman, great-great grandsons: Diehl Normand, Jace Normand and Karlie.

At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held.
