Obituary of Donna Boisjoli

After a long and lengthy struggle with Muscular Dystrophy, Donna Marie Pichor Boisjoli passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Vita Care Home.

She leaves to mourn her two sons Richard and Michael (Kayla) and four loving grandchildren Finley, Griffin, Olivia, and Wrenlee Boisjoli, two sisters Ella, Margaret (Peter) and brother Ben (Janice).

Donna was predeceased by her mother (Kathleen Ogrodnik ) and father (Stanley Pichor), of Powerview, MB, and her siblings Irene, Ernie, Anne, Gordon, John, Joe, Peter, Lawrence, and Shirley-Anne.

Donna was born in Pine Falls, MB. After High School graduation, she moved to Winnipeg. She pursued her career at the Canadian Wheat Board as a Clerk of Country Services Department for nine years until she had her first son Richard. They settled in the community of Grande Pointe, MB, where she felt was home for many years, where they welcome their second son Michael. She always had a big garden to tend to and enjoyed canning her famous dill pickles every year that everyone loved. If your doorbell rang, you knew it was Donna the Avon lady. She loved spending quality time with family and friends. She always reminisced on the good times. Donna's smile could light up a room.

Donna was always very proud of her two boys and family. She loved showing off pictures of her grandchildren. 

She will always be loved and missed by family, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

In accordance with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Paroisse Ile des Chenes Parish, 453 Main Street, Ile des Chenes, MB.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donna may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 825 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1M5.
