Obituary of Lily (Feniuk) Kardash

With great sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, baba, and sister Lily. She peacefully departed from us on Friday, October 6, 2023, at age 85, after courageously battling cancer for many years.

Lily was born on August 9, 1938, in Sarto, Manitoba, to parents, Mary and John Feniuk. Left behind to mourn her passing and hold dear her memory are her daughter and son-in-law Dawn and John Richardson, two grandsons LJ and Jo Richardson, brothers Roy and Eugene Feniuk, sisters MaryAnne Freund (Arnold), Joannie Levesque, Nicky Peters (Ray), Donna Penner (Keith), Sandra Kehler (Wayne), sisters-in-law Nancy and Myrtle Feniuk, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lily was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Kardash in 1995, brothers Larry and Donald Feniuk, and brother-in-law Aurel (Shorty) Levesque.

The family would like to express their immense gratitude for the love and care shown by the Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface Hospital to Lily during her extended stay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sarto, Manitoba.

A private family service will be held.
