Obituary of Alisha Rita Hiebert

It is with deepest sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved Alisha Hiebert on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the age of 16.

Alisha was born on September 13, 2007 and lived in New Bothwell, Manitoba. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was happy to chat for hours at a time. She enjoyed helping people and was quick to lend a hand with babysitting, yard work and odd jobs. She especially loved doing things with her little brother Ryley, like swimming, quadding, baking and playing SkipBo.

Her intellect was evident early on and her boundless curiosity had her reading and learning about everything she could from a very young age. In school she took as many classes as she could fit in her day to pursue her numerous interests from math and science to mechanics to ELA where her imagination would soar in reading and writing stories. She also played volleyball, ukelele, sang in choir and was preparing for her drivers test.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her dad Ryan, mom Ashley, brother Ryley, grandparents Roger Hiebert, Beverly Wieler (Rick DeGagne) and Corinne Brooks, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandpa Todd Brooks.

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
I thought of you yesterday, and will tomorrow too.
Remembering you is easy, I do it every day.
It’s the heartache of losing you, that will never go away.

We will miss Alisha’s bright smiles and big hugs until we meet again with the angels.

A celebration of life for Alisha Hiebert will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.  

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
