Obituary of Alexander Orban

Alexander Orban, 86, of Woodridge, MB, loving husband to Kay Orban, passed suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Alex is survived by his wife Kay, daughters Elsie (Derrick), Diana (Mark), and grandchildren, Kevin, Brennan, Caitlyn, and Donovan.

He was predeceased by wife Patricia Orban (1987), Father Andrew Orban, Mother Elizabeth Orben, sisters Margret Nag, Irene Baker and Doreen Billson and brother Walter Orban.

Alex was an active member of his community and served on many boards and committees over the years, Vita Hospital Board, LGD of Piney as Counsellor, Southeast Veterinary Board, and Woodridge Hall Committee. Alex was employed for 25 years with Seine River School Division as a bus driver. During his time, he drove over a million miles to school, field trips, and many Christmas concerts. After retiring in 2002, he got to travel with his wife Kay to England, Hungary, and Romania to see the family. He loved the Viking ship tour that they took and spoke of it often. Alex was a huge fan of music and had many great stories of playing his accordion with the Nault boys and anyone else who wanted to play.
