I remember being at your house and the wonderful time it was to listen to all the stories. I was always in awe of Andy and Betty. I knew how much they loved each other just by watching them together. Betty’s soft laughter and Andy’s blue eyed twinkle when he smiled were legendary. Coming from a family of short people, I was daunted by how wonderfully tall they were. They were an amazing couple and I will always remember them. Love you Andy and Betty. May you rest in peace with God and the Angels.

To Andy and Betty's family: I am so sad to hear of Andy's passing, yet he is now with his Bride, Betty. This is a picture of the beautiful purple martin house that he built and donated to the the gardens in 2011. Both of them received me so many times in their in Niverville and welcomed me with their generous hearts and pure love. They truly were and are remembered as kind, hospitable, Christ-like individuals. I am so blessed to have known them. Annette Fast

I am so sorry to hear the passing of my Favorite Uncle, Andew Hiebert. I remember staying with them when I when I was very young. Auntie Betty used to tell me that I would wait anxiously for him to come home from work. I remember his twinkling blue eyes and beautiful smile. He was a true gentleman and he will be truly missed. My sincerest condolences to all the family.
Rest in Peace Uncle Andy.

On occasion, while travelling through Manitoba, my sisters and I would call Uncle Andy and Aunt Betty to ask if they had time for a visit. They were always welcoming. Uncle Andy would most often accompany us to the Hiebert Cemetary and spend time telling us stories. Then he would show us the Niverville cemetery and there were more stories and interesting local history. Aunt Betty was always smiling when we got back and then we would have tea and treats, and she would get to entertain us with some of her stories. We always loved to stop and visit, get some hugs and have some laughs. Uncle Andy's eyes were so much like our Mother's, the same colour, the same crinkle and the same twinkle.I know they are already having a Hiebert gathering under way up in Heaven. Be at peace.
