Bertha was our neighbour for most of my life. She had an incredible mix of strength, compassion and conviction. My last memory of Bertha was when she saw my brother and I fixing a fence on a hot day, she brought us homemade iced tea. A wonderful gesture from an always pragmatic and thoughtful woman. RIP.
I have known Bertha my whole life. She and my mom Edna were good friends. They shared many good times together. Bertha showed her love and care for others and always had a greeting of welcome to all she met. I have no doubt that she and my mom are in heaven together sharing. This is not goodbye but see you later.
Bertha was such a sweet lady! She would occasionally call me at the Church office just to let me know she appreciated the work that I do here - always made my day! She will be missed
