Obituary of Margaret Kelsey (nee Bauldic)

Margaret Kelsey, age 100, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Repos Jolys, Ste Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2019, her sisters; Rose (Bill), Olivine (Jim), Helene (Bill), and her brothers; Edward (Alvina) and Alex (Kaye).

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was the youngest of six children and grew up on the family farm in Makinak, MB. She moved into Winnipeg after finishing her education and was employed doing piece work on aircrafts during the war. She then went on to Rudy’s Drug Store on Ellice Ave, where she worked for many years, as a Jill of all trades. In later years she moved to The Bolton, and there she met Edward. After a brief courtship they were married, and shortly there after moved to Tolstoi, MB. Margaret loved living in the country again and took up flower gardening, with Ed digging up many beds for her. Her flowers were always gorgeous. Especially her tulip beds.

Margaret and Ed travelled from the east coast to the west coast, visiting relatives along the way. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos, winning often. She was a great 10 pin bowler and had the awards to prove it.

After suffering numerous falls Margaret moved into the Repos Jolys, Ste Pierre-Jolys, MB., where she lived the last few years.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Repos for the loving care Margaret received while there. You are the best.

Ash interment will take place later this spring.
