Obituary of Joan Bueckert

Joan Bueckert, a vibrant soul whose spiciness left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her. For decades, she poured her passion into running a restaurant, becoming a beloved figure in our community.

Joan is survived by her loving spouse Ike, her children Jenny, Jason, Tom, and daughter-in-law Sheri, leaves behind a legacy of love with her six cherished grandchildren (Anica, Chase, Jager, Jett, Maiva & Raven). She leaves two sisters Shirley, Marg (John) and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sadie and Art Warkentin, sister Phyllis Warkentin, brother Mike Warkentin, and niece Angela.

Joan's laughter was contagious, and her comedic spirit lives on through her children and grandchildren. As we bid farewell, let's celebrate the flavor she added to our lives and the warmth of her presence that will be dearly missed.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba. To join the family via livestream, click HERE prior to the service.

Her children are very thankful to Dad for doing an amazing job caring for Mom in her final days and accommodating her wishes to remain at home.
