Obituary of Roland Gagnon

Peacefully, with his family by his side Roland passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

Roland will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years & seven months, Yvette (née Brulé), two daughters and one son, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: daughter - Gisèle Friesen (Russ) their five children Brittany, Ashley (David) and their three children Jeremiah, Micaiah & Eleanna, Chérie, Courtney and her child Rylee, and Eric; daughter - Michelle Brémaud (Léo), their four children Josée, Mathieu, David & Sylvie; son Roger Gagnon.

He is survived by his brothers and sister: Aimé (Doris), Florent (Evelyn) and Jeannine. He will be dearly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Urgel and Irène Gagnon, his brothers Léo, Gérard and Arcel, and his sisters Anna and Lorraine.

Roland enjoyed being a truck driver all his life until poor health forced him to quit in 2020.

He loved to take pictures of flowers, go camping and fishing, watch sports, and spend time with family. His family will remember him for his great sense of humour, his kind and generous heart, and how much he loved his "Babe".

The family would like to thank the numerous medical personnel at Ste. Anne, Concordia, St. Pierre and St. Boniface hospitals who provided care and compassion during the last few months.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at the Paroisse Sainte-Anne-des-Chênes Parish, Ste. Anne, MB., with interment to follow immediately after.
