Obituary of Thelma Funk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and special friend. Thelma passed away after a six week stay in Bethesda Regional Health Centre on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in the evening.

Thelma is survived by five daughters, one son, one daughter-in-law, two sisters and one brother.

She was predeceased by her husband, John D. Funk, one son, Tim, one son-in-law, Gerald, eight sisters and four brothers.

Thank you to the staff of Bethesda Regional Health Centre for the care you provided to our mom and Dr. Mark Duerksen for all the many years you have cared for her.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior to the service. To join the family via livestream, please click HERE shortly before the service. 

The interment will take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thelma may be made to Soups On Steinbach or to a charity of your choice.
