Anna (Dueck) Broesky March 16, 1920 – January 4, 2008 Peacefully at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Anna (Dueck) Broesky passed away after a short illness on January 4, 2008 with her family by her side. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Abraham Broesky in April of 1993, daughters Lorraine Bergen (Jake) and Helen Swatsky, sons Peter and Cornie in infancy. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Jake and wife Agatha, Peter and wife Mary, Deidrecht, Isaac and sisters, Elizabeth, Marie and one great grandchild Mason and many friends from girlhood and on. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jake (Katie), Mary (Terry), Betty (Henry) Abe (Rose), Martin (Nettie), Darlene (Joe), Margaret (Verne), John, LaVerna (Dave), Anne (Irvy), Norman (Tamara), Norma (Darcy), Raymond (Cheryl) and Andrew (Carol). She also leaves to mourn 42 grandchildren 76 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, nephew, nieces, cousins and friends that she had during her long and illustrious journey of 87 years. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dyck and the nurses at the Bethesda Hospital for their kindness, compassion and care of our mother. Viewing service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 479 Hanover, Steinbach, MB with Pastor Richard Martens presiding. Burial will take place at Heritage Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church.
