After an incredibly brave fight with cancer Jodi Alyssa Purchase of Giroux, Manitoba went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2008 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. She was born September 17, 1989 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Jodi was truly the toughest person that we have ever known and fought without complaining, even up to the end was more concerned about the people around her. She had a fondness for 60’s and 70’s music and loved to play guitar and piano and jamming in the garage with her brother Dylan and friends. She also loved spending time with her Aunties, Uncles and especially her cousins. We are all going to miss her unique personality, off the wall sense of humour and sass. She is survived by Dad (Doyle Purchase), Mom (Sandy Purchase), brother (Dylan) and sister (Haley), Greatgrama (Aganetha Teichroeb), Grandpa and Grama (Abe and Tina Teichroeb) and Grama (Audrey Purchase). She was pre-deceased by her Grandpa (Fred Purchase) and her Grama (Patricia Teichroeb). The viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld, Dr, Steinbach, MB on Thursday, January 17, from 7-8:00 p.m. with a devotional starting at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main St, Steinbach on January 18 at 1:30 p.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
