Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Riverview Health Centre, February 4, 2008, Kathleen Werestiuk of Winnipeg (formerly of Sundown), MB passed away at the age of 61. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Gale (Tim) Burridge of Winnipeg and Carol (Marcel) Swerid of Winnipeg, her 7 precious grandchildren: Travis, Amanda, Alyssa, Staci, Christina, Blayze and Shyana, and her loving sister Ettie Krasniuk of Winnipeg, numerous friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Paul of 39 years, her mother Marie Davis, her father James Leonard Overton, brother Raymond Overton and her in-laws Michael and Jean Werestiuk. The family wishes to thank Dr. P. Czaykowski (CancerCare, MB), Dr. H. Groenwald (family physician) for guiding her through her battle. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Centre for making her feel safe and comfortable during her last month with us. A special thank you to her dear friends Linda Yatsko for always being there for our Mom and to Iris Saunby for the friendship, fun trips and good times you shared with her. A funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Ascension of our Lord Cemetery, Sundown, MB.
