Lloyd Henry Fast Feb 28, 1950 – Jan 31, 2008 Lloyd Henry Fast of Steinbach, formerly of Blumenort, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, during his regular morning fellowship with God on January 31, 2008, a month shy of his 58th birthday. He is survived by his sons: Dawson Fast of Winnipeg, Devery Fast of Winnipeg, and his daughter Mica (Curtis) Unger of Steinbach; grandchildren Ashlynn-Love Harris-Fast and Rogan and Navlin Unger. He is also survived by his sister Wanda Kretchmer (Tim) of Blumenort, brothers Rodney (Liz) of Winnipeg and Gardenton, and Kevin of Steinbach, as well as nieces and nephews. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Verner and Nettie Fast of Blumenort. He wanted everyone to know that he has gone Home to be with Jesus and that he always prayed for everyone he knew and loved. A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 5, at 7:00 P.M., with a devotional at 7:30 P.M. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 6, at 2:00 P.M., at Southland Community Church, 190 Hwy 52 W, with interment at Blumenort EMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an opportunity is given to help cover funeral costs. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the many people who helped their father and brother over the years.
