Lena Zulak, a resident of Steinbach, MB passed away at Bethesda Place February 24, 2008. She was born November 4, 1923 to Artem and Annie Ladobruk at Pansy MB, where Lena, at the age of 13; the eldest daughter, grew up and helped raise her 10 siblings after the passing of their mother. Lena was married in Pansy, MB September 9, 1942 to Nicolaus Zulak. Together they lived on a farm and later moved to Steinbach and raised three children; Ann, Edith and Richard. Lena was a homemaker and spent a good portion of her life dedicated to her perogy business. In her spare time, she loved cooking, canning, drinking Pepsi and playing Bingo. She was a witty, bright and spirited individual; loved her family and her church. Lena was predeceased by her parents Artem and Annie Ladobruk; 1 sister,Mary; 6 brothers, Pete, John, Paul, Jim, Mike and Morris; and her husband Nick. Lena will be dearly missed by her children Ann (Peter) Dyback of Steinbach, MB, Edith (Peter) Broesky of Steinbach, MB, Richard (Elaine) Zulak of Edmonton, AB; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters Helen and Irene, and by her brother Bill. A funeral service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul's Church in Pansy, MB Tuesday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Pansy, MB.
