Peacefully, on March 23, 2008, with her family by her side, Lydia Unger (nee Toews) was called to her heavenly home at the age of 69. Mom will be missed by her four children: Doug and Mary, Luella and Frank Gauthier, David and Christy, Leanna and Greg Bishop, ten grandchildren: Charlene, Veronica, Ray, Kat Gauthier, Hallie, Matteo, Indiana Unger, Zak, Kassie, McGowyn Bishop, one sister Anne and George Fast, one brother Neil and Marcia Toews, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2003 and a son in infancy (1975). Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Elim Mennonite Church,#85 – 2nd St. South, Niverville. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Elim Mennonite Church, Interment at Hespeler Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. M. Burnett, Dr. S. Migally, the paramedics, the nurses and support staff at St. Pierre Hospital for all their loving care of our mother.
