Sympathies and prayers to the Wiebe family. The sharing of memories by the grandchildren was heartwarming and it showed how much they all thought of "uncle Jake", The choice of music was very nice.

In the early years when we went to go see uncle Jake I was some what afraid. But then we always were taught to respect our elders and sometimes I would not know how to communicate with them. Uncle Jake was a quieter man and it always seemed to me that he had a soft heart. The generation he grew up in was not for the faint of heart. The challenge of the depression and surviving that touched all those who experienced it. In the later years though I did not see him often I found him to be a listener and yes someone who had a soft heart. I honor his contribution to his immediate and extended family. May you all know the peace that passes all understanding as you both mourn and celebrate his life which was well lived.

Condolences to the wiebe siblings on the passing of your dad, my uncle, I have a lot of memories of your dad, even from the time before they moved to Paraguay, when we went to groot fodash on celebrations days, I remember your dad always sat there with his hand cupped over his ear, because he was hard of hearing, we always thought he was a bit of an underdog because of that, in recent times we brother took your dad out for breakfast, the last time when we were out for breakfast with your dad, I mentioned this underdog thing and that now he out lived them all, he just smiled scmosdad, again condolences

I was shocked when i spoke to Henry and he told me “dad is in heaven”. I always enjoyed my visits with him . We talked about his growing up and my dads growing years. We talked farming and farm equipment and he always was interested in what i did in my work. He shared of how ready he was to meet the Lord. Henry invited me on several occasions to have breakfast with him and his dad. I really appreciated and enjoyed it each time. Uncle Jake often insisted on paying the bill. When we visited i usually stayed about an hour but time always seemed so short. I brought him “schauble soup” on my last visit, just over a month ago. He immediately emptied the jar to send it back? He said, in German, “this i will heat for lunch right aways”. Sounded better when he said it in German. Anne and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to you, the family. I lost my father years ago and think of him often still. And although we are glad for their rest, it is still a shock and the world will seem emptier. May God give you strength during this very difficult time. I will miss him.
