Suzanne and I met when we started new jobs together at Captain Scott’s Fish and Chips in Southdale Winnipeg around 1978. I grew up in Liverpool England, Suzanne in La Broquerie and other French communities and you’d think those two backgrounds couldn’t be more different but we clicked instantly and became fast and lifelong friends. Although our paths didn’t always cross over those 42 years it was as though we’d only seen each other the previous day when we were able to get together or talk on the phone. We were on the same wavelength about all sorts of topics, and we could cover just about all of them in a single session, never at a loss for words. We made each other laugh and Suzanne was the best laugher anywhere in the world, which was its own reward.
My sincere condolences to her family at this time of deep and unbearable loss, and the many other lives she touched. She really was one in a million.
Rest in Eternal Peace my friend.
