I remember Jac from when he was the milk truck driver and picked up milk in cans at my parents farm. Brutally strong !
In the last 12 years Jac and I spent many hours in our buggies enjoying the country side while driving country roads. As we were getting the horses and buggy ready Jac would share about someone who was lonely and needed friendship . He was a strong person with a soft and caring heart .Now he is with Jesus whom he loved and served. And together with his wife whom he missed so much ! Menno and Linda Barkman

My condolences to the Rempel family who were our only neighbors for many years. Jake was a gentle kind man, always greeted you with a smile. I always enjoyed visiting them. Even visiting him alone, he loved sharing his life stories. When i started attending EMC church i looked for him to sit beside him, he was a true friend. Jake you have now gone home to be with your sweetheart in Jesus house. Farewell till we meet again

There was a gentle quietness about Jake. He was someone who genuinely lived his faith, and genuinely cared for people. He loved talking about trucking, past and present. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Bill & Karly Kehler

My condolences to the family. I spent quite a bit of time at Pete's place, often visiting with both his parents. Jake was very easy to visit with and a good listener. His short comments were often followed by 2 seconds of silence and then a smile and a chuckle - he found humor in most things. When I visited him in August, he mentioned that "they think my illness might be serious", but he also said he had had a good life and was ready to go, if necessary. He had a life well-lived. Sincere condolences to each member of Jake Rempel's family. In grade school, Irene and I were good friends and though I don't have too many specific memories of her dad, I do recall that he was hardworking, yet took time to ferry us back and forth to town to encourage our friendship. One winter in the late 1960's when there was a huge snowfall in southern Manitoba, Mr. Rempel pushed the snow into these huge walls and played outside with all us kids.

My condolences to the family at this time. Glad I had the chance to wave to him just the other day. He is where he was yearning to go.
Prayers for comfort on your behalf.
