Obituary of Anne Louise Cudney
It is with incredible sadness to announce that on Friday, March 18, 2022, we lost our beautiful Anne. Anne was special and loved by so many people.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Bill. Alongside Bill are their three children, Jazmyn (Jared), Zak (Pam), and Liam (Nicole), and seven grandchildren, Skylar, Izzy, Layla, Otto, Crew, Scottie, and one on the way. Anne was very close to her sister, Kim (Kenneth), mother Sarah, brother Rick, and her many nieces and nephews that she loved so much, as well as her many friends and clients.
Anne is predeceased by her father, Jack Shail and twin granddaughters.
Anne was a self declared “social butterfly” and took great pride in having great friendships with as many people as possible. She owned salons in both Winnipeg and Steinbach where she grew close relationships with her staff, business partner and many clients. She treated her co-workers as if they were her daughters. She loved every one of them and loved to hear stories of their wild lives. She loved each and every one of them differently and somehow made each one feel so very loved.
Anne and Bill met when Anne was 16. On Anne’s evenings and days off, you rarely see her and Bill apart. They loved like teenagers and cared for each other every moment of their 51 years together. Bill sat at Anne’s bedside, holding her hand until she took her last breath. Their love was incredible and kind and wholesome.
Anne spent her spare time gardening, visiting with her grand babies, hotel stays with Jaz, Bomber games with Zak, and Folklarama with Liam. Her family was the most important thing in her life.
To be an amazing mother, nana, wife and friend is not something you come across often, but this was what Anne possessed to us all. She will be dearly missed by so many but would want to be celebrated rather than mourned. Her smile was contagious and the happiness she brought to every life she touched was unmatched.
Family will be holding a private celebration for Anne in late spring.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you send a card telling the family how much Anne meant to you. We all know how incredible she was but to have these memories for her grandchildren is going to help carry on her legacy to the children she barely got to know.
Nana is now a star in the sky. She is not sad or tired or sick. She is watching all of us and smiling down at how much love she left behind. She will never leave us, she left too much of an imprint on every one of our hearts
