Condolences Dorthey and family.
What a shock to hear the news of Dr. Dales sudden passing.
I was so glad to help him celebrate his retirement, and miss him greatly over at the clinic. He certainly was wonderful at his job, he excelled at surgery and compassion to all his clients.

Dear Dorothy and Family: So sorry and shocked by Dale's loss. I began taking my Airedales to Dale in 1993 for care. He tended to 6 of my Airedales, 2 Fox Terriers and a Lakeland. He was always so kind and caring. I am forever grateful when he returned early from Regina to do orthopedic surgery on my Airedale Casey, who had a broken leg. I will miss him dearly. Dorothy, Jessica, Ashley and your families, our sincerest sympathies to all of you. Dale was a wonderful, caring man, an excellent vet and surgeon that I truly trusted and appreciated his guidance with my dogs. May it help ease your sorrow knowing many of us also care and are deeply saddened with your tragic loss ,

Jessica and Ashley. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you rich family times as you grieve and celebrate the life your dad lived. Clearly he connected with many people and made significant contributions to the communities in which he lived and worked.

Dr. McKague will forever be "Dr. Dale" to me. He was an incredibly caring and knowledgeable vet and always willing to listen to and share information with me about my dogs and cats. My animal crew has been part of Pet Vet for almost as long as he was in operation in Steinbach, and it was always worth the drive from near Beausejour to have him look after everyone. I never felt that I was wasting his time when I made an emergency call - and there were a few over the years. I never hesitated to refer others to Pet Vet as I knew the quality of care he and his staff provided. It has been an honor to have him as the vet looking after my animals, and I send condolences to all of his family as well as those like myself who mourn his passing. Bright Blessings on your new journey Dr. Dale. Shauna McLauchlan.

Dear Dorothy
We are so sad to hear about Dale's passing! We both very much appreciated Dale in the many dealings we had with him at Pet Vet! He was an fantastic vet and a wonderful person! He always had a smile to give and a moment to chat, when we would see him around! About 5 years ago, our family ran into Dale and Dorothy at the Winnipeg airport. We were both awaiting our flights to Mexico! Again Dale and Dorothy were both happy to chat and catch up with us!
Dorothy we hold you close in our thoughts and in our hearts!

I wish we had personally known Dale because he sounds like a person everyone should have in their life. An accomplished, kind-hearted man, relative and friend to all those whose life he touched. I know Dale will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known him. We share in your sadness as another good soul has left our world too soon. Have comfort knowing Dale is in a good place…even now. Lonny, my heart hurts for you and your family as you say goodbye to another brother. We know your sorrow and share it with you. Our deepest sympathies… Elise, Gregg and family.

I Michelle Zaboroski give my deepest condolences to everyone in Dale’s family and friends who loved him. He was a father figure, mentor and personal HERO for me starting early in my life. He was the greatest Veterinarian I have known and I had the privilege to work for him for many years. During this time he taught me countless things along side Dorothy. They both gave me courage and support through school to become an Animal Health Technologist. As well as supporting me through a tough time during my new diagnosis of MS in 2006. I always knew I could count on him when I needed it. I learned one of the most important skills of my profession, patience. This also helped me greatly when I became a mom! He always had endless patience and understanding with everyone. Even when they didn’t deserve it. I will always miss being able to call him when being in doubt about a pet. He will be forever missed by many!
