I* met Abe first in his drugstore on Main Street in 1974 and Helen and I had him and Laura as our pharmacists for life. He was humble enough to bring our medication to our home after his work hours. We often exchanged our theological views and always were in harmony with common sense. He endorsed my first book "The Redemption Story." Helen and I loved both Abraham and Laura as friends. We will miss him, but know we will meet him and Laura one day in heaven. Our warmest condolences to their family.

Reynold and Roger and families, I am so sorry to hear of Abe's passing. It was always a pleasure to come and visit him and Laurie and discuss almost any topic that he was knowledgeable about which included many topics. I had many wonderful calls with them as well over the years. May your wonderful memories sustain you at this difficult time and enjoy those memories in his honor.

Our condolences to the family.
We remember Abe as a friend and also as our pharmacist. In the last several years we were blessed by his ministry of music particularly at Bridgepark Manor where he blessed us with music once per month as possible. He always gave God the glory.
Also his ministry was two fold: 1. Blessing the audience with gospel/ hymns with his cello, 2. He engaged and encouraged young people to continue their gift of playing the violin.. Thank you Abe for your wonderful ministry in music.

A heartbreaking loss of a lifelong mentor and string quartet partner. From when I was ~10, Abe gave me rides to orchestral events in Winnipeg, and for the next twenty-five years, rarely a week went by where we were not playing together. And in the years thereafter when I'd come for a visit, Abe was always eager to play together, the last time being July 2020.
Together with Alex Hiebert and Ike Doerksen, our quartet started out playing hymns and over the years developed to playing the great classical composers' quartets. Abe practiced diligently to perform ever increasingly difficult pieces, and mastered them. But it wasn't only practice and performance, we also talked for hours about airplanes, technology, and science. Our time together, and Abe's support, intelligence, and positive nature, influenced my life like none other.
Abe's leadership, commitment, and selflessness in supporting community and church music, and encouraging young musicians to play, blessed so many.
My condolences Reynold, Roger, and your families, on your loss.
