The Lord used Don to lead us into ministry in Quebec. We had been considering where God would have us serve as missionaries with CEF, and, through a video, Don presented the need for bilingual workers in Quebec. We loved working with Don through the early years of deciding to come here and getting settled in the ministry. And just this week we celebrated 20 years of full-time ministry in Quebec! Don's care for people and his love for the Lord were so clear to all. Our lives have been richer for knowing Don!

So many memories of Don as a family friend, my parents boss, then my boss but most of all always a caring and understanding friend. He showed his support in so many ways. A treasured memory is when Don and Lois came to visit me in Albania! He also frequently intervened on my behalf with CRA and MB health to make sure we were taken care of! I can only imagine the deep loss it is for you, Lois and your children and families! Praying for all of you and sending hugs!

Don is fondly remembered from the time he pastored Hope Church in Burstall, Saskatchewan (Burstall-Leader Pastoral Charge in the historic "Happyland Mission" area). We greatly appreciated Don's connection, which he and Lois actively maintained over the years. Although decades passed, Don & Lois were faithful in maintaining our relationship by attending church anniversary events and emailing up-dates on life. It made everyone feel very special to have Don & Lois keep in-touch, and return to visit the area. This was our experience with Don: personal, thoughtful, kind, and deeply committed to the Savior. We feel blessed by Don, and his time among us. In days to come we will hold Don's family in our thoughts and prayers. Kindest Regards, Dr. Shane & Lois Andrus

So sorry to hear of Dons passing. Please accept condolences from our family to you Lois and family. We have many good memories of our backyard conversations on the land between London street and McCreedy road. Different times we would meet at the grocery store and always a brief chat. A good man may you RIP Don.

Our condolences to the Collins family.
Don was the one who recruited Eunice and myself into CEF. We served under his leadership for many years. Don taught us many things and I still find myself going back to some of those things and remember them with pride. Don was my boss yes, but Don was my friend above that. I always knew that Don cared for people. Don cared for us as a family. We are sorrowful for earths lose, but we will meet again in heaven at the throne of grace where all things are new!
Blessings

Hi Lois and family- I first got to meet Don in Saskatoon. He came to board at our house while he was going to University. I found him to be a very gentle and soft spoken man. He was also a tease - in which I liked. His love for the Lord was evident in his life. Always took an interest in people. I’m sorry for you that are left here- but am rejoicing that Don is not suffering anymore and that, we will see him again. Respectfully yours- Cheri Ayers- Medicine Hat, AB.
