I have such fond memories of Matt, Kevin and their buds, all hanging out at our house on Regal. Matt always would take the time, to come upstairs and chat with me for a bit. Matt was a very special person! Vicky Smith (Kevin Russell’s mom)

I’ll always remember Matt. He was very intelligent in every aspect in life, during our class time I’d always take his advice, his story’s were always rad, he really did have the purists soul. He supported me during my whole pregnancy & when I showed him the first picture of my son, we both smiled. I’ll keep pushing thru in memory of him. Fly high<3

When I heard the news my first thought was that Matt cared about his friends and family so much. Clearly I’m not alone in this. The best parts of Matt will no doubt live on within everyone who knew him, as he was the definitive role model of what it means to be a kind and caring person.

I only knew Matt for a short amount of time but in that short amount of time I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much and so hard in my life. He literally lit up the room with his presence. I’ll never forget getting my ass kicked in pool both in person and virtually. Much love and respect to you my friend. You’ll be forever missed ❤️

Many memories of Matthew but my last one was 3 weeks prior to his passing when he came to visit me and before leaving he gave me a wonderful warm hug and said I love you auntie and off he went. I will miss you tremendously and I will cherish all the memories. Rest in peace and save some room for me for when we meet again.....love Auntie (Adele)
