Obituary of Lydia Susan Bachmeier

It is with great sadness the family of Lydia Susan Bachmeier announces her unexpected death. Lydia Bachmeier, age 66, of Winnipeg, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB. 

Lydia was born in Winnipeg, moved to Ste. Anne area in 1988 and returned to Winnipeg in 2008, where she lived till her death. She was married to her husband Axel for just over 41 years, and raised three children Joe, Morgan, and Heidi.

She is survived by her husband Axel, son Joe (Samantha) and his children Josef, and Mileena, and son Morgan (Ashley), his children Felicity, Paige, Margaret, Caleb, Griffin, and Leah, daughter Heidi, her father Walter, sister Sonja, brother Walter (Terrina) his children Brittney, Matthew, and Jaxon, and sister Jeannette (Randall) her daughter Kylie.

Lydia was predeceased by her mother Amelia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

The interment will take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB., following the service.
